Dear Sir, AIR RAIDS: 10th and 12th January 1938.

I beg to report the following aerial attacks by

enemy planes and damage sustained by the Railway on the 10th

and 12th instant:

10TH JANUARY.

SHEUNG PING TU TONG. At about 13.40 hours 2 enemy

planes attacked the Railway and dropped 4 bombs at the

following places:

1 at Sheung Ping station loop line, damaging 2 pairs

of rail and 20 sleepers; 1 at Km. 88/5 damaging 1 rail;

2 between Km. 92/9 and 92/12 but without damage.

Repairs were immediately carried out.

12TH JANUARY.

SHA TSUN. At about 19.40 hours the Railway

was raided by enemy planes when 4 bombs were dropped at

Km. 29/14 damaging 2 rails and 6 sleepers.

Repairs were immediately carried out.
